Alex Durand

Alex is an Executive/Team/Emerging Leadership Coach who helps his clients find personal fulfillment through purposeful work. After graduating college he joined one of the Big Four as a consultant. Upon feeling his soul wilt away, he quit his cozy, corporate job to start his own business, Frable Consulting (Fr'able being a combination of Forever + Able), which focuses on serving individuals and organizational teams who have a desire for professional growth/change. His calling is to help others find their authentic path. He works with his clients to unearth their strengths, mental models, value systems, habits, and decision-making patterns to help them understand what makes them who they are to increase their self-awareness and performance. He is energized by enhancing adaptable emerging leadership practices, nurturing organizational groups evolution into teams, and working with individuals to help them develop a life of fulfilling work. He draws heavily from neuroscience, positive psychology, complexity science, quantum mechanics, and Gestalt OSD to build his coaching practice and philosophy.

  • Alex holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from George Washington University. He is a graduate of the Columbia University Executive and Organizational Coaching Program and holds certifications in NBI ™ Thinking Preferences Assessments, Korn Ferry’s Emotional and Social Competency Inventory 360, Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey, and Hogan Motives, Values, and Preferences Inventory. He has completed the Gestalt OSD-led, Advanced Gestalt Coaching Workshop on “Use of Self as Coach”.

  • Alex grew up as a third culture kid as a part of an ex-pat family that moved all over the world. Over the years he’s lived in Boston, Mexico City, Santiago, Istanbul, Brussels and currently resides in Washington, D.C. He lives with his wonderful partner Tory and their presently fictional but hopefully future companion Mr. Waffles, the Corgi.

  • He is an avid Bikram Yoga and Heartfulness practitioner, reader, amateur novelist & writer, and home cook. He does most of his work virtually from his home in Washington, D.C. Learn more at Frable Consulting.
